HELPFUL TIP:

There’s probably a good reason why your character chose their career. Think about how certain talents and skills, a dominant positive or negative trait, or even an emotional wound might have influenced this decision. And once they're on the job, don't forget about the many work-related conflict scenarios you can throw at them to create tension and add complications.
OVERVIEW:
Personal shoppers assist clients in making retail purchases by shopping alongside them and offering their expert advice or buying items on their behalf. Some clients also hire them to buy gifts for others. These shoppers tailor their services to suit an individual client's tastes and needs while utilizing their own expertise of trends and their knowledge of what the client will like. They may be employed by a store or work in a freelance capacity in-person or online.

NECESSARY TRAINING:
Formal education is not required to become a personal shopper, but a retail or industry-related degree, like fashion merchandising, may prove useful. Experience is key, particularly in demonstrating proven sales records and client satisfaction in similar industries.
